Brad Dourif si již v pár filmech střihl minimálně stejně podivné (a dalo by se říct úchylné) postavy, jakou je i Gríma Červivec. Vidět jste ho mohli například v některých dílech Davida Lynche, asi nejzajímavěji jako mentata Pitera de Vries ve snímku Duna. Nezapomenutelná je také kratičká scéna z Vetřelce 4 – Vzkříšení. Netušíte která? Právě náš Gríma je ten podivný vědec, který v laboratoři oblizuje sklo, za kterým jsou vetřelci umístěni. Objevil se i ve snímcích Ragtime, Barva noci. Vůbec poprvé ho do důležité role obsadil Miloš Forman. Billy Bibbit z filmu Přelet nad kukaččím hnízdem v podání Brada Dourifa získal Zlatý Glób za nejlepší herecký výkon ve vedlejší roli a také nominaci na Oscara.
