Thoughts on the future

Some Thoughts On What The Future Will Look Like life in the future, events that surely will happen in some similar form in the future, such as the quantum leap of data storage entailed when we will finally be able to store programs and visuals on a molecular level, where we can make a special material, perhaps even a liquid{it probably would have to be a liquid on account of its molecules’ abilty for movement} respond to certain influences such as an electrical impulse and store off and on switches as molecules on their surface or within their structure.Wouldn’t it be lovely to unroll a scroll of transparent material, apply power and a processor and see a multi-gigapixel picture, play a multi-terrabyte game using a graphics card drawing on multi-gigabytes of memory. We will look back and wonder how on earth we survived on such primitive,artificially-engineered processes when all along the answer was to be found on a far more fundamental level. All electronics would operate using the same principle so that the perfect videocamera{if it’s still valid to call it that}would record life onto a perfect medium and send it via a perfect connection to a perfect monitor,or whatever viewing machine we’ll be using at the time. What we see will be just as perfect via a machine as it will be in real life. When I have broadband connection,I’ll be able to finally tune into a great buzzing source of megabyte-per-second entertainment.Television from the giants but with a few new names, new Internet alliances As far as photography is concerned, there will probably appear light-sensitive media made of a living organism, and able to emulate first light and dark, and then some years after that, colours. There’s no reason to think that the same media could not be used as the general computer processor of the times, able to store commands and information at a molecular state, that works at the speed of light. Some extremely clever person or people will discover such a process by way of a remarkable simplification of physics and the ability to utilize materials at such at small state. It’ll be one of those “why didn’t we think of that before, how incredibly logical it is” breakthroughs. And with computers such as those, completely unrestrained by the laws of physics,we can only imagine the scope of what will be achieved in entertainment and in scientific spheres. At the moment, surfing is just a suitable word for describing what is in effect frequent requests for information. In the future, what with the broadband connection we will all be taking for granted[except probably for me],we will literally watch ourselves surfing,or driving,or in whichever way we so desire, through the labyrinths of a graphical representation of where those requests actually go.I could,if I had the energy or imagination, knock together a passable world of undulating tunnels and tubes and crossroads using whatever I wished.
